College Merit Scholarships

Description
Warrane College is offering several Merit Scholarships for new students in 2008. Scholarships to the value of AUD$1,000 will be awarded for outstanding performance in one or more areas of academics, sport and/or cultural endeavours. Scholarships will be awarded by way of crediting college fees for 2008.
Selection Criteria: Outstanding performance in academics, sport and/or cultural fields
Value: Financial award of $1,000

Selection Criteria:
Warrane College scholarships are awarded to students who, having outstanding achievements in the fields below, wish to make a significant contribution to collegial life at Warrane College.
Academic Achievement
School leavers: UAI (or equivalent) of 99.00 or above
First Year University students: High Distinction average in First Year
Sporting Achievement
Representation in sport at State level or above
Cultural Achievement
Can include, but not limited to:
Attainment of a high grade (AMEB or equivalent) in one or more musical instruments
Demonstrated peformance experience in music, drama or other arts
Value:
Each scholarship has the value of $1,000, remitted as a credit on college fees. Students may apply for a maximum of 3 Merit Scholarships in 2008.
Eligibility:
Undergraduate students must be full-time students, entering the first or second year of their degree program at UNSW.
Applications are open to all students, regardless of age or citizenship.
