Temporary AccommodationGuest Ensuite Rooms

Each year, guests are welcome to the college in the following UNSW recess times:

 Summer vacation: December -February
Easter recess: The week following Easter Sunday
 Winter vacation:  July
October recess: The first week of October

Expectations

Warrane College cannot be compared to a bed and breakfast or backpacker’s hostel, but is a “home away from home”.

We believe the idea of “home” to mean an environment that is vibrant, inclusive and supportive.  It is achieved by maintaining some basic standards, the promotion of collegial activities open to all and the availability of staff.

Guests staying either for a few days or several months can participate in the full range of activities that the College offers.

Accommodation Plus

Each guest is provided with single-room accommodation with the choice of a shared bathroom or ensuite. Three meals are served daily with special efforts made to celebrate significant days such as Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and birthdays of residents.

Facilities open to university students during session are also offered to guests. These include: access to the internet and computer studio, library, study rooms, TV and movie room, chapel, gymnasium, dining and common areas.

In recess times, residents organize a full range of activities such as nightly get-togethers over coffee, Bar-B-Que dinners at Sydney ’s beaches, sports, trips to the Hunter Valley and Blue Mountains and visits to cultural attractions such as museums, exhibitions and the Festival of Sydney.
